What actually 3D Printing is? Without swapping change, there is no innovation, inventiveness, or incentive for the betterment. 3D printing- widely known as “additive manufacturing” is a methodology used for creating three-dimensional objects with the aid of computer-created designs. 3D printing commonly is an additive process whereas veneers of material are used to create an object from a digital file.
Examples of 3D Printing: 3D Printing initially includes • all our eye wears, • footwears, • prototypes, • some dental equipment, • food supplies, • IoT enhancements, • prosthetics, • movie props. and substantially more. Innovations have been made in healthcare equipment, automotive, and construction purposes. Many companies are on site of using 3D printing even though in Pakistan and overseas. 3D Printing is a very vast term and is proliferating on daily basis.
3D Printing in Pakistan’s Industry: On a current notice, Pakistan prohibited the import of 3D printers. Miler Machines somehow overcame the use of 3D printers as building up such materials became easier with this machine. However, vast use of 3D printers is seen in our daily lives focusing mainly on our health sectors highlighting “ventilators” in the covid era. However, keeping in view all aspects of lives, we can say that 3d printing technology can play a pivotal role in meeting the high demand for such essential commodities. 3D printers are also being used in our educational areas, engineering, and medical purposes. Innovations are made, and to let those innovations helpful we need to sum up some rules and regulations for the unerring use of such technology. Recently, the Minister of Commerce has issued a notification, allowing the import of 3D printers for the sake of availability of ventilators in different hospitals in this pandemic. Setting up some rules and regulations for the use of technologies will help us a lot. If we restrict such technologies, how will we grow? We’ll be at the bottom of successful countries’ lists. The major difference between us and the entire world will accentuate.
Material Used for 3D Printing: Plastic is a frequently used material for 3D printing. Likewise, some raw materials such as: • Metal • Graphite • Carbon Fiber may also be used for 3D printing.
Industries Utilizing 3D Printing: Some of the industries transformed by using 3D printing are as follows. • Aerospace Industry • Healthcare Industry • Education Industry • Robotics Industry • Manufacturing Industry • Construction Industry
Importance of 3D Printing: 3D printing is a legal act. It is advantageous for: • small production batches • creating required molds
It also: • Reduces transport cost • Reduces production time
